Experience authentic Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu training under the guidance of Sensei Rob Williams, one of Northeast Florida's only licensed Bujinkan instructors.
Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu is a comprehensive martial arts system rooted in centuries-old Japanese warrior traditions. It emphasizes practical self-defense, physical fitness, mental discipline, and personal development.
Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi, the 34th Sōke (Grandmaster) of Togakure-ryū Ninjutsu and founder of the Bujinkan, has dedicated his life to preserving and teaching these ancient martial traditions. His influence extends globally through dedicated instructors who maintain the authenticity of these teachings.
In Japanese martial traditions, knowledge is preserved through a process called "densho" — the transmission of wisdom from teacher to student through direct experience. The Bujinkan embodies this timeless approach, maintaining techniques, principles, and philosophical insights that date back centuries. This living transmission ensures that these ancient warrior arts remain vibrant and applicable in the modern world.
Throughout its history, the Bujinkan has emphasized not just technical proficiency, but the development of character, perception, and adaptability. Students worldwide are part of this continuing tradition, preserving and honoring these martial arts while making them relevant to contemporary challenges.
Sensei Rob Williams has been training in the Bujinkan since 1985 and is officially licensed through the Hombu Dojo in Japan. As a 4th Dan (Yondan), he's one of the only authorized Bujinkan instructors in Northeast Florida.
